Last Wednesday on March 8th , Coca-Cola Middle East won the ‘Advertiser of the Year’ award at the 2017 Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity, widely considered to be the Middle East region’s foremost celebration of creative excellence in brand communications.  The honor was awarded for several very successful Coca-Cola advertising campaigns that ran through 2016.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Effie Kontopoulou, Marketing Director at Coca-Cola Middle East said, “We are humbled and honored to receive the award for ‘Advertiser of the Year’, which has been in the making for many months. At Coca-Cola, our goal is to make everyday moments special for our billions of consumers and our advertising, marketing and communications efforts are instrumental in achieving that. This award is a wonderful recognition for all Coca-Cola associates, partners and agencies that have helped to enhance the value of the brand across the region. Our campaigns had the secret formula the Lynx juries are looking for – brutal simplicity, genuine authenticity, seamless technology, an authentic product role and a strong social purpose.”

The award follows on from the Interactive Grand Prix, Gold Media Lynx Award and Bronze Lynx Awards received for the standout 2015 ‘Dark Iftar’ campaign which earned over 18 million views on our Middle East YouTube channel. During the past three years, Coca-Cola has won a total of 42 awards at the festival, including 3 Grand Prix awards, the highest honor granted by Dubai Lynx.

The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity is the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region’s annual must-attend event for the creative communications industry to learn, network and be inspired. Furthermore, the Dubai Lynx Awards is the highlight of the creative industry’s calendar where the best work in creative communication across the MENA region is honored and celebrated.
