Arab superstars join forces to celebrate the region’s culture and traditions through music in the latest season of ‘Coke Studio Bel 3arabi’. Launching on January 15th, 2016 on MBC, the new season also ushers in a brand new show format.
Unlike previous seasons, where superstars from the West join forces with Arab artists to create fusion hits that bridged cultures and transcended nationalities, this season features musicians from across the Arab world producing Arabic songs filmed outside the studio and on the streets of the Middle East.
The new show format showcases the urban landscape of cities in the Middle East, by being filmed completely outside of studio settings. In this way, the artists are able to engage with their fans and share the love of music. From the United Arab Emirates, to Egypt and Lebanon, the show will explore the culture and people of each nation and seek to connect the Arab world through a passion and love of music.
Season four features captivating collaborations between Middle Eastern artists for the first time. The show will see the return of Balqees Fathi and Maya Diab, and welcome new faces on board, including Ramy Sabry, Bahaa Sultan, Rami Ayach, Wael Jassar, Amal Maher, and Egyptian superstar Amina. To compliment the celebrities taking part in the cultural collaboration of ‘Coke Studio Bel 3arabi’, new hosts including beloved Egyptian artists Mahmoud El Esseily and Bushra also join the line-up.
Throughout the show, artists were given the chance to travel to different Arab countries to discover the culture, history, traditions and music that make each country unique. From the mountains in Lebanon, to the Egyptian pyramids and the UAE’s desert terrain, this action packed season will leave viewers as entertained as they are informed.
